Houses close to the ocean have “flood plain rules” requiring that
fireplaces must be built above the “flood threat line”.
I think the mason enjoyed working with our “Sawn Height Building
Stone because all heights are sawn to fit each other with 1/2″ mortar
joints… a stone mason’s dream for speed laying.
