The Tumbled Sawn Height Battery Bluff is named after a cliffside
that practicing sail boat Navy Ships used many years ago as target
practice. “Battery Bluff” is still on some of todays maps.
“Battery Bluff is at the Shoreline edge of our Weatheredge
Limestone Quarry on Manitoulin Island.
Battery Bluff Sawn Height is a blend of (a) Rustic Brown Limestone
(b) Weatheredge Limestone and (c) Harvest Gold Limestone and
has a beautiful dimpled face. Its available both tumbled and
non – tumbled. The sawn height sizes fit each other with 1/2″ mortar joints.
The wood fired cook stove is ready to cook the family meals.
When visiting this family farm to get pictures.. the son took me out
to the barn to show me a hen that hatched out 18 chicks. She
had hidden the nest until the chicks were hatched. I think he
was happy that I took an interest in what he was excited about.
Taking interest in young children is so worth while.
