Some of the Ski Hills (above). Our off-shore employees started in the
gentle slopes. Imagine seeing snow for the 1st time in your life, here
in Canada… then the company announces a ski trip. They and some
of our other employees – graduated to the big slopes as they were
comfortable. When one had a dump on the big hill… there was no
man visible (only flying snow) when the snow settled the man came
into view. And he was ok. Thankfully.

Some went to the tubing area and some went to skating through the
trees on a 1.3 km bushland rink trail.
The Roller Coaster was chosen by some of us as well. There was
something for everyone. Everyone was so happy. The waitress (at suppertime)
commented that it was nice of us to do this for our employees and she
noticed everyone was so happy. While she was commenting a big
line-up of employees came through and thanked us. We were proud
of their gratefulness and appreciation.

We got pictures of a Chalet that we supplied the “Collingwood Brown
Sandstone Squares & Recs” on, which was within eyesight of some of the slopes.

On our way home it started snowing and the van with left over food,
supplies, and people couldn’t make it up the slippery hill. This pic is
taken from inside the van with the boys pushing sideways to keep
it on the road.

5 men pushing – for a while there was 8. Finally we got to the top.
What an adventure. The skid marks show why it was hard keeping
the van straight… even with side support.

Some of our happy first time skiers.

Before we left for home our daughter, son in law, and granddaughters
put on an amazing spread for breakfast. After 9 hours of fresh air the
day before everyone woke up to he smell of freshly baked cinnamon
buns and coffee. The breakfast consisted of 5 lbs bacon, 5 lbs sausage,
5 lbs ham, 6 dozen eggs, toast made from homemade bread and jam.
Then there were still waffles, topped with fresh blueberries, strawberries,
bananas, maple syrup and whipped cream. Thanks to Joe and
Kenton for the amazing “Pure Maple Syrup” you cooked for this.
Thanks for all the arranging and organizing our family did for the
great time everyone had. Some said “We did so many FUN THINGS
on this trip.” The chalet was equipped with a heated pool, sauna, hot tub,
and many other games and activities.
