The detailed woodwork on the porch adds beauty and detail to this project.

The shutters also change the appearance of the house.

A close-up picture of the corners. The wide return of “L-Shaped Thin

Veneer Corners” gives the illusion of a solid thick stone wall, like

they used to build 200 years ago. When you see some returns

ranging from 5 to 10 inches it makes the stone wall look very solid

and strong. 50 years ago a customer wanted her stonework to look

like it was structural, rather than veneer… thanks to her decision,

because it created a vision in our hearts for amazing corners and

now our customers receive what they deserve even without asking for it.

Even though the “Weatheredge Limestone Ledgerock” has all been

sawn to 7″ heights, with the mortar joints brought close to flush

with the surface of the stone, and because the stone has some

chipped edges, some mortar was pressed into some of the indents.

This took away the total perfectly sawn edges appearance and

added age to the laying style giving the customer the look they wanted.

Stonework around the vent. Notice the added detail under the roof.

Imagine how happy the stone mason was to get to lay this project

with the Weatheredge Limestone, all cut to equal 7″ heights. Also notice

some of these pieces even after being shipped all the way from Canada

to Tennessee… are still up to 2′ long. A mason’s dream for high speed

laying. I am sure he was happy since there was over 10,000 sq.ft.

awaiting him when he entered the project.
