Percon Excavating was very happy with the Timothy’s Blend with 10% Cambridge Light Grey Limestone added. They feel the variety of the three kinds of stone blend well with all of their other colors.
This blend is
- 10% Cambridge Light Grey Limestone
- 60% Weatheredge Limestone
- 30% Elite Blue Granite
The Timothy’s Blend Sawn Heights Building Stone is sawn to heights of 2 1/4″, 5″, 7 3/4″ and 10 1/2″, and is sawn to all fit each other when using a 1/2″ mortar joint.
Notice the wide (15″) return on the bottom corner piece (in picture above). Even though this was full bed stone (max 5″ bed depth), we cut these amazing full bed “L Shaped Corners”. Mr. Wagler says that a standard 5″ bed stone doesn’t leave the same impact as a 15″ corner piece does. The owners of this building were astounded.
The sills are Elite Blue Granite, cut 4″ thick and 9 1/2″ deep. Notice that we didn’t cut the knee wall off flush with the bottom of the window. The sills have a rock faced front edge and a textured top.
The pillar caps were also cut from Elite Blue Granite.
The light grey piece in the picture above is cut out of Cambridge Light Grey Limestone.
