It was very proper to use Sandstone on this project, being close t the “Credit River” which means that “Credit Valley Sandstone” would be underground. It was not that long ago that very many small Credit Valley Sandstone Quarries were producing in this area, but one after the next closed and now only two operating quarries remain.
