It was interesting to notice the 1st two blocks set into our new saw…

would have been too tall to fit into all our existing saws.

We are happy to have the extra sawing capacity… because we want

to be dependable for our customers.

We appreciate the added cutting height and have not maxed out the

7 ft. height yet. Imagine being able to buy flagstone up to 14′ x 7′ in

size. That size would probably satisfy most people.

We kept the concrete walls 4 1/2′ above grade… so the steel won’t

get dented so easily in production.

The taller section is the area with the 7 ft. wire saw… which needed extra height.

Our two biggest loaders here at Colonial’s processing facility. At the

Weatheredge Limestone Quarry the one loader is supposed to handle

20 ton blocks. As we moved farther back into the quarry… the block

height grew from 2 ft. to 4 ft., requiring a larger loader. Our 45 ton

excavator is used to pry these heavy blocks out.

The door where we take the largest blocks in to the 7 ft. wire saw.
