My wife was very surprised to see the stems on the tomato plants were already thick and hardy compared to the ones back home in Canada. The longer and earlier growing season makes such a difference. Diane also noticed the planters were on wheels…allowing them to easily be pushed into the garage, when frost is a threat. This gave us an idea for next spring… since we have to be very careful with late spring frosts here in Canada – which have been as late as July.
