The walk out basement comes out of one of the round rooms, to a beautiful mature landscape and limestone flagstone patio. The rockery stone edging has some deep enough holes to be able to plant “Hens and Chicks” in them. Interest and inquisitiveness always want to see what’s around the corner, and these stairs disappear into whatever is beyond the curve of the round room. That’s captivating. Notice a large portion of this home is built in a round shape … that way nobody can get you stuck in a corner (joke).
The Elite Blue Granite has become very popular since grey and black colors are in high demand and pinks or reds have lost popularity. If you like even darker colors, we have several black granites as well, or if you still prefer the pinks and reds, we have that for you also.
There was angled, but rectangular rooms and sections coming off of the central round shape, a very interesting and unique design. The glass doors upstairs open to an upper patio, that has views into a beautifully landscaped back yard. The sound of running water can be heard from this relaxing upper patio.
Notice the pool at the bottom of the three tall narrow windows that guests walk past as they come to the main entrance door. The three windows have water shimmering down them that comes over the window sill, and falls into the pool. The water movement is seen from the inside also. Also notice that the Elite Blue Granite Sawn Height Building Stone was laid with varying depths, which we call the “Shadow Effect”. The sawn height sizes are 2 1/4″, 5″, 7 3/4″ and 10 1/2″ tall, and fit each other with a 1/2″ mortar joint. Our standard blend is 10%: 2 1/4″ height
40%: 5″ height
40%: 7 3/4″ height
10%: 10 1/2″ height
Some customers prefer to alter these percentages.
This customer chose to have 3 tall glass block windows in the upper room.
Another pool in the back yard is built with the same Elite Blue Granite Sawn Height Building Stone. This stone has beautiful veining and a nice color range.
