This customer desired to have the “Elite Blue Granite Ledgerock” laid
with drystack joints… instead of with the standard 1/2″ mortar joint.

Installing a natural Ledgerock with drystack joints takes more
installation time with a varying height building stone because extra
fitting is required to be able to keep the joints tight. We recommend
adding black mortar color to adhering mortar because if you see some
mortar it looks like a dark shadow rather than a brilliant mortar
that draws attention.

We also saw drystack stone to matching heights being 2,4,6, and 8″
if requested for easier drystack installation (because the heights are
all sawn to fit each other). We also make 10 & 12″ drystack heights
if desired. This type of sawn height drystack has a perfect, more
modern appeal and looks totally different than this project.
The natural ledgerock looks more real, natural, and rustic.

These people are so happy with the style of drystack they chose.

Very natural appearance.

Natural Stone always looks amazing with wood, trees, and plantings.
