Two designers from Florida phoned to have us help them create a

blend for their back-splash in a house on the east coast.

A nice back-drop for their range top.

This project is a blend of both “Weathered Face” & “Split Face” Limestone.

The “Weatheredge Weathered Face” portion is 10% Squares & Recs,

30% Random, and 20% Ledgerock. They dropped the Guelph Buff

Ledgerock to 5% and the Weatheredge Splitface was 15% Ledgerock

and 20% Random. Even the Squares & Recs and Ledgerock were

trimmed to be more random.

Dear Elroy,

These photos reflect the work thus far although the mortar is still

needing to fully dry.

I thank you so much for your remarkable help in making our stone

backsplash area so special, beautiful and unique. You were enormously

helpful from the start and we could not have done it without your knowledge

and expertise. From helping us select beautiful stone (hand selected no less)

with a wide range of colors and highly textural pieces to instructing us on the

proper way to create an old world appearance, you guided the process

seamlessly. Also your willingness to provide critical advice to the

masons was instrumental in a successful project.

Throughout this project, we have referred to you as “Professor Elroy”

a well-deserved master of a real beautiful tradition of stone masonry!

Thank you again for all your support and kindness.

Best to all of you,

Marie Cohen
